Women's Leadership Exchange® - Nation’s Best Business-Building Conference - Returns to Atlanta Nov. 17th

Agenda Features Steps to Get Government Contracts

Atlanta, Ga. (October 15, 2009) -- The Women’s Leadership Exchange® (WLE) nationally-acclaimed conference program has been helping women entrepreneurs and executives nationwide grow their businesses and advance their careers for seven years. Due to the tremendous success for the past two years, WLE, in partnership with IKEA, is bringing one of the nation's best business-building conferences back to Atlanta. The event will be held on November 17, 2009 from 8 AM to 4 PM at IKEA Atlanta, 441 16th Street NW, Atlanta, Ga.

Opening keynote speaker and author of Pink Lemonade, Martha Lanier, will share with attendees her survivor tips on how to face their biggest business fears, overcome self-limiting barriers and ignite their full potential.

The program includes a luncheon presentation by government contracting expert Lourdes Martin-Rosa, who will be educating women business owners on how to apply for and secure federal procurement opportunities. Women business owners could gain more than $6 billion in annual revenues if the 5% contracting goal set by Congress in 2000 was reached. This is a national program presented by American Express OPEN with Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP).

Attendees will also learn from the following growth gurus and workshops:

  • How the World’s Most Successful Businesspeople Build Relationships and Win Clients for Life with Maribeth Kuzmeski, author of Red Zone Marketing: A Playbook for Winning All the Business You Want
  • People Hate to Be Sold, But They Love to Buy with Marylyn B. Schwartz, CSP, president of Teamweavers Seminars and sales and team/management development expert
  • On Your Own: What You Need to Know to Launch Your Business or Consulting Service with Jewel Daniels, author of The Enterprising Entrepreneur, 10 Powerful Life Lessons for Achieving Business Success
  • Social Media Strategies for Success in Business with Alison Woo, founder of NewMediaMavens.com

In addition, there will be a valuable presentation about using email to market your business, as well as facilitated networking.  The day will conclude with SolutionStations -- interactive information stations where attendees will get real-time solutions to their business challenges - and  private SpeedCoaching sessions where each attendee can hear five-minute “nuggets” of advice on their most pressing business issues by each of the WLE growth gurus.

The goal of the conference is to help women who face challenges with their businesses, are starting a business, or are in-transition to reinvent, reconnect and refocus to be successful in today's tough economy. "We live in an economy where the no-hows of yesterday have been replaced by the new-hows of today's business world. This unique conference will give participants the tools they need to move their businesses and careers forward by generating new ideas, making new connections and exploring new opportunities," said WLE Cofounder Leslie Grossman.

The cost of the event is only $89, which includes breakfast, lunch, networking, keynotes, workshops, SolutionStations and SpeedCoaching. Register at www.womensleadershipexchange.com or call 888.937.5800.

The conference is made possible through the support of national corporate partners IKEA, American Express OPEN and American Airlines; community partner Constant Contact and  national media partner SBTV.
