Women's Leadership Exchange Holds Late Fall Conferences to Help Women Connect with More Customers in Tough Economy

New York, NY (Nov. 28, 2010) -- The Women's Leadership Exchange® (WLE) nationally-acclaimed conference program has been helping women entrepreneurs and executives nationwide grow their businesses and advance their careers for seven years.  This year, WLE has partnered with MetLife in a 3-city series to help women business owners attract more customers in the current challenging economy.  The  theme of the conference  series is “Connect With Your Customer”, and it will be held in New York City on Nov. 30th, in Glendale, CA. On December 7th and in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on December  8th.

The goal of the conference is to help business owners and executives of small to mid-size businesses learn how maximize the opportunities of the newest online marketing strategies – email and social media – and integrate them with their total marketing plan to achieve their business goals.  The conference was designed to help entrepreneurs put new marketing ideas into action immediately to get customers, build and expand their networks and get support from other women business owners attending the live events.

"We live in an economy where the no-hows of yesterday have been replaced by the new-hows of today's business world. This unique conference will give participants the tools they need to move their businesses and careers forward by generating new ideas, making new connections and exploring new opportunities," said WLE Cofounder Andrea March.

Participants will hear and learn from the best in business. Each conference will kick off with the seminar “How to Connect with More Customers with Social Media Marketing”, presented by Constant Contact’s Regional Development Director.  This session will cover some of the newest strategies and best practices to get the most out of your social media activities including time management and measuring the return of your activities.

The program also includes the following:

WLE Connections Café --In this live facilitated session attendees will meet at least 5 new people with whom they can do business or make referrals to each other.

A Social Media Panel of  local business owners, called “Using Social Media to Achieve Your Business Goals” will be presented by American Express OPEN.  Panelists  will share their customer connection strategies and how they impacted their businesses. Attendees will learn what worked well and what didn’t work for them. They will share how they are using social media to stay ahead of their competition, how they are keeping current customers/clients and how they are attracting new customers.

At the New York Conference, the WLE Compass Award will be presented to Laurel Touby, founder of mediabistro.com, who revolutionized the way media professionals do business, connect and communicate online.

Each conference will conclude with an hour of Speedcoaching -  5 minutes of private coaching with each of our experts on social media, marketing and other small business issues – for the attendees.
The conference is made possible through the support of MetLife, American Express OPEN and Constant Contact.
