Did You Know?

In a recent on-line survey, WLE solicited feedback from hundreds of followers about the business climate they’re experiencing.  We’re happy to say that the results were more positive than we might have anticipated.  For example:

  • Despite the economic woes of recent years, of those who work in small- to mid-size companies, 59.5% reported that they have either the same number or more employees now than they did in 2007.
  • Almost half of the respondents in small- to mid-sized companies predicted that they would have more employees in 2012 than they do currently, and only 18.6% either didn’t know our anticipated fewer employees by next year.
  • Over 70% told us that they have observed positive changes in their business in the first quarter of 2011; of those, almost 85% have more customers and almost 70% reported higher revenues.
  • As we suspected, the Internet plays an increasingly crucial role in our businesses.  73.7% responded that the Internet is either important or very important in attracting clients or customers, and less than 10% said it was not important.

Thank you to those who completed the survey; your input helps us to focus on the issues most important to you.  We are also grateful to all our respondents for their feedback on proposed topics for our 2011 conferences – both live and virtual.  We’re excited about the themes and speakers that we’ll be presenting this year.
